Meeting minutes for May 17/10

Call to order: 8:10pm

Ryan Whittle and Dean Drolet were away for this meeting.

Treasurer Report: Jayson Lynch

$25,000 in the bank. We now have the cell based credit card machine, but cash is still preferred.

The fire extinguishers have been picked up.

New Business: Ken

$1500 in bad credit cards from the first weekend. This problem has been eliminated by the new credit card machine.

Weekend went well. The WCC helped the club financially.

Found lots of riders were not riding because of the rain. We need to encourage more people to get out there and ride. It costs the club $10,000 per day to run the track, we need all the riders we can out there to help pay for the clubs daily expenses.

If classes are less than 5 riders, they will be joined with other classes to help save time through out the day and to give the crowd something to watch, rather than 4 bikes going around the track.

*** IT IS MANDITORY TO RUN YOUR DB COM DURING PRACTICE!!***

Cold fire is what the car club is using to deal with fuel fires. It is about $85 per 5 gallon pale. A 20 pound chemical extinguisher will be mounted in the crash truck; Dean will be picking up the bracket for us. All racers please check their fire extinguishers in their pits and make sure they are functional. Lu has volunteered to check the pit stalls every morning to make sure every one has a fire extinguisher out. If you need a refill or a new extinguisher Royal City Fire Supplies at 12th street and 6th Ave in New West gives all WMRC members a discount.

Ted will not be able to announce this year after all. Kelly is still able to on Sundays and 2 BCIT students will be coming out to help announce all year.

We need more people to come out for track set-up.

Promotions: Jayson

Nancy will now be doing trophy presentations. Classes with less than 5 people will not be receiving trophies if points are not awarded.

WMRC Executive will be looking at grid size after this weekend to determine the best use of track time.

Here are the 3 classes that are in trouble right now. MWSBK, HWSBK, SSBK

Meeting adjourned: 8:35pm
